Vector vs. Bitmap...
Bitmap images are made up of tiny dots or pixels and are resolution dependant, whereas vector images are made up of mathematical instructions and are resolution independent. Vector graphics can be scaled without loss of detail making them the required file format for artwork reproduction.

Keeping Positive...
Etching is based on positive and negative areas. Remove any color or gradients prior to submitting final artwork.

PMS...(the good kind)
If your branding format incorporates key or specific colors, be certain you also have the PMS "Pantone Matching System" colors available when preparing and sending your artwork.
